Media Owner Terms

FameCake is a digital advertising marketplace platform operated by Realworld Advertising Ltd ("FameCake", "we", "us"). These terms govern the relationship between FameCake and media owners ("you", "Media Owner") who make their digital screen inventory available through our platform.

By registering as a media owner on FameCake, you agree to be bound by these terms.

FameCake is designed to target incremental and unsold inventory on your digital screens. Our platform is not intended to compete with your existing agency sales or direct client relationships. FameCake provides an additional revenue stream by filling otherwise empty screen time with user-generated content and small business advertising.

FameCake operates as a technology platform connecting advertisers with screen operators. We are not a publisher or broadcaster of content displayed on your screens. FameCake makes no warranty or representation regarding the legality, intellectual property rights, accuracy, or appropriateness of any user-submitted content.

While we employ content moderation measures, ultimate responsibility for content displayed on your screens remains with the user who submitted it, as outlined in our user terms.

FameCake employs AI-powered safety review on all user-submitted content before it is displayed. Content that violates our acceptable use policies is automatically flagged and withheld from display.

Notwithstanding our moderation efforts, media owners retain full discretion to remove any content from their screens at any time and for any reason. If you identify content you wish to remove, contact us at info@famecake.com and we will action your request promptly.

You agree not to solicit, contact, or enter into direct advertising arrangements with FameCake customers who have booked through our platform, outside of the FameCake platform. This restriction applies for the duration of your participation and for 12 months following termination.

Revenue from paid bookings is split 50/50 between FameCake and the media owner, net of VAT and payment processing fees (Stripe). Payments are processed via Stripe Connect and disbursed within 10–20 business days following the end of each calendar month.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate Stripe account details. FameCake is not liable for payment delays caused by incorrect or incomplete account information.

FameCake may offer free or promotional posting options (such as shouts) to drive platform engagement and user acquisition. No revenue share applies to free posts. FameCake will ensure free posts do not unreasonably displace paid inventory.

FameCake content is delivered to your screens via an HTML slot that integrates into your existing playout system. The FameCake slot rotates between paid bookings, free posts, and house content as determined by our scheduling system.

No manual file uploads, playlists, or content management is required from media owners. All content delivery is handled automatically through the FameCake platform. We provide a URL endpoint for your playout system — content updates are managed entirely by FameCake.

Users of the FameCake platform agree, under our user terms, to indemnify and hold harmless both FameCake and media owners / screen operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from content they submit.

FameCake may update these terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days written notice of any material changes. Continued participation in the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Either party may terminate this arrangement by providing 30 days written notice. FameCake reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate access in the event of a material breach, including but not limited to: soliciting FameCake customers, tampering with platform content, or providing inaccurate account information.

Upon termination, all outstanding revenue owed to you will be settled within the standard payment cycle.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
